| You can listen to the
water rambling over the rocks in the Mill Stream, or enjoy beverages while sitting on the
porches. In the gardens, while taking a special Time-Out, smell the flowers,
watch the humming birds drink nectar or enjoy the sunset over Jones Cove, which is tidal
salt water. A favorite past-time for guests is enjoying coffee at the breakfast
table conversing and watching the many rarities of birds at the feeders located outside
the window. A full country breakfast is served, while the menu varies, guests may enjoy
yeast raised sour dough waffles, smoked salmon, and fresh herbed goat cheese omelets or
French toast made with home made cinnamon bread. |
| Located six miles from
the fishing village of Winter Harbor, guests can spend the day exploring the Schoodic
Section of Acadia National Park, pick up some fruit wine at the Bartlett Winery and have a
secluded picnic at the Petite Manan Bird Sanctuary which offers leisurely trails through
woods, blueberry fields and a beautiful view of the water off the Rocky Coast of Maine.
With Bar Harbor only 35 miles away, plan day trips and return in the evening to the Sunset
House and recharge. |

| We at the
Fishermans Inn are proud to serve locally grown and harvested foods as the seasons
allow. Doing so ensures that flavor and nutrition are at their peak and helps
support the fishing and agricultural community. Our philosophy even extends to the
wine list by including selections from the nearby award winning Bartlett Maine Estate
Winery. Relax and enjoy, Real Food Done Well. |
